The New Day Singers

is a ladies choir based in Saltburn and Paula Odell (Paula Day) took over as their leader in January 2016. The choir is divided strictly into Altos, Middles and Sopranos and the ability to read music is helpful but not a requirement.

Since Paula Odell took the New Day Singers under her wing they have raised over £5,000 for various U.K. Charities, including Parkinsons UK and The Teesside Hospice, and this amount is set to rise because of concerts planned for the end of 2018 and early 2019.

As well as learning 3 part harmony songs the choir are also told about vocal technique and correct breathing methods. The choir is taught performance skills and even small scale choreography.

The choir performs locally at community events, local churches, nursing homes and fund raising events. New members are always welcome to join this lovely group of ladies.
